GR Japan Conference Room (301)

GR Japan is delighted to invite you to our forthcoming IPF seminar, featuring a dialogue with Kenta Izumi, the current leader of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDP). The CDP is currently the largest opposition party in the Diet, and this event provides an opportunity to hear first hand Mr. Izumi's candid insights about a potential snap election and the vision of the CDP.

Mr. Izumi, since his election in 2021, has embraced a "middle-of-the-road" and "moderate conservative" platform. His leadership aims to pivot the CDP from simply being an opposition to the ruling party to a constructive, policy-oriented force offering practical, forward-thinking policy alternatives. Furthermore, he's vocalized his goal to reenergize the party and regain the trust of middle-class, independent, and middle-of-the-road voters.

Not only is Mr. Izumi tasked with stepping out from Edano's shadow to rejuvenate the party, but he's also facing significant competition from Ishin no Kai in becoming the primary opposition and key challenger of the LDP, backed by their recent electoral victories.

Please join us for this rare opportunity to hear Mr. Izumi's vision for Japan and the CDP, their philosophy, and his anticipations considering a possible upcoming House of Representatives election.
