The International Policy Forum kicked off 2014 by welcoming Kozo Yamamoto, the LDP's leading expert in fiscal and monetary policy. As one of the fathers of Abenomics, Mr. Yamamoto shared with us his insights on progress to date and what to expect in the second year of this new economic policy.  

Mr. Yamamoto is known for his many books, including 'Japanese Economy Ruined by Bank of Japan'. In the House of Representatives, he has served as Chairman of the Committee on Judicial Affairs, and Director of the Budget Committee, the Financial Affairs Committee and the Committee on Health, Labor and Welfare. 

He is currently Chair of the House of Representatives Consumer Problems Committee and Secretary-General of the LDP Headquarters for Economic Revitalization.
